INFORMATION ON THE ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2020
After having consulted the Supervisory Board of First Vienna Football Club, the Presidium decided to use the legal options of the 4th COVID-19 Act and to convene the ordinary General Assembly, which is to be held in May 2020 under normal circumstances, for a later date in 2020. This decision is based on the measures taken by the Austrian Federal Government to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The safety and health of our members and employees is our first priority. Due to the current legal basis and official orders of the government (restriction of meetings, public entry ban), the professional holding of a general assembly is not possible.
For the time being, no use should be made of the possibility opened by the COVID legislation to hold the General Assembly virtually without physical presence or even to arrange a written vote.
Due to the amendments to the law, the deadline for preparing the financial statements has been extended to 9 months. The auditors now have more time to review financial management.
In this way, the Presidium will inform its members in good time about further planning and will convene the ordinary General Assembly in due time.
