Vienna Amateure Away Against Hellas Kagran

In the 21st round of the Vienna City League, Vienna Amateure face off against Hellas Kagran in the Donaustadt. After reclaiming the top spot in the standings, the young team aims to stay in first place.

Following their 5-0 thrashing of Slovan HAC last week, which saw them return to the top of the table, Vienna Amateure now face another team from the lower half of the standings in Hellas Kagran. So far, the Kagran team has managed just one win in the second half of the season, against Austria XIII in round 19. Günther Svarc's team is currently in 13th place with 20 points, six points clear of bottom-placed Slovan.

"It won't be an easy task, but the boys are in good form and working well. We'll aim to score as quickly as possible again," said coach Gökce Tuna, who remains optimistic about the upcoming match.

Pitch Conditions Still Uncertain

There is some uncertainty regarding the pitch conditions ahead of Sunday's match at the Hellas Kagran Sports Arena.

"The pitch is said to be not too bad. But what does 'not too bad' really mean? We'll only find out on matchday whether we can play our game or if we'll have to play more cautiously due to the pitch conditions," said Tuna. Despite the uncertainty, the coach emphasized that his team is in good spirits, and he isn't too concerned about it.

Currently, the Blue-Yellows hold a two-point lead over second-placed SV Donau. A full victory on Sunday could extend their lead to five points, provided SV Donau fails to earn points against Schwechat.
