24th 1894 Business Club Event – A Top-Class Evening at ISS
On April 10th, 2025, the 24th edition of the popular 1894 Business Club took place – this time hosted by ISS Austria.
Over 120 entrepreneurs accepted the invitation and enjoyed an exciting networking evening at the headquarters of the evening’s sponsor.
Big Goals – Strong Partner
The evening kicked off at the ISS Academy – the company’s in-house training center – where guests gathered before the event officially began. Opening remarks came from the host himself, Erich Steinreiber (CEO of ISS Austria), followed by a warm welcome from Vienna’s Vice President, Robert Hammerl. He not only expressed his gratitude for the chance to host the Business Club at ISS, but also highlighted the long-standing and strong partnership between the two sides.
Evening host Erwin Gruber couldn’t resist asking whether ISS would one day like to clean the International Space Station. Erich Steinreiber responded with a smile, stating that aiming high is always important – for ISS Austria just as much as for First Vienna FC 1894.
Great View – Top Food – Strong Conversations
Next, it was time to head one floor up. There, guests were treated not only to a stunning view over the Prater but also to a culinary performance worthy of top-flight football. *taste’njoy Premium*, ISS's high-end event catering brand, truly hit it out of the park and won over the entire crowd.
With a full stomach and a great atmosphere, many engaging conversations kicked off, with plenty of time for everyone to get involved and connect. Guests also had the option to take part in a guided tour of the headquarters – an offer that many attendees happily took up.
Youth Development – Training – The Future
Of course, no 1894 Business Club event would be complete without a touch of football. This time, the focus was placed on the future of the game – the youth teams. A fitting choice, given ISS Austria's strong commitment to developing young talent.
Stefan Wichmann (Head of Youth Development at First Vienna FC 1894) and Alexander Widhalm (Head of Women's & Girls' Football Operations) took the stage to answer a few questions about how the club trains and supports its many blue-and-yellow youth prospects. Their insights offered guests a behind-the-scenes look into the everyday world of Vienna’s next generation of footballers.
First Vienna FC 1894 extends its heartfelt thanks to ISS Austria for a fantastic evening, and to all the many guests who took part in the popular 1894 Business Club event!
