Klara Gorges strengthens Vienna Women’s defence
The Vienna Women’s team is pleased to announce another new signing for the upcoming season: Klara Gorges joins from Wiener Sport-Club and will reinforce the defensive line at Hohe Warte.
The 23-year-old German defender becomes the third addition to the squad for the new campaign, following Alina Kerschbaumer and Denise Lueger.
Gorges arrives from Austria’s 2nd division, where she most recently featured for Wiener Sport-Club. She was developed in the youth system of TSG Hoffenheim and successfully made the step up to senior football there. After further stops in Germany, she made the move to Vienna in the winter of 2023. In the past season, she made 18 appearances in the 2nd division for Wiener Sport-Club.
