Anna Osl strengthens Vienna's midfield
Squad planning at Austria’s oldest football club continues to pick up pace: Anna Osl, a highly promising young talent, is the latest addition to First Vienna FC. The 16-year-old midfielder will join the club from the ÖFB Women’s Academy this summer and don the blue and yellow shirt.
With this move, Anna Osl is taking the next step in her career as she transitions to senior football alongside Vienna. Known for her technical ability, football IQ, and excellent vision, Osl is a versatile midfielder who has already made her mark with the Austria U17 national team: in 17 appearances, she scored five goals and provided two assists – an impressive record for someone her age.
Head coach Mark Dobrounig is excited about the new signing: “Anna brings a great deal of individuality and quality to our squad. She can play in almost any midfield position, impresses with excellent technique, great awareness, and a strong understanding of the game. Her precise shooting is another real asset. We’re very happy to welcome Anna to the Vienna family this summer.”
