Vienna signs forward Lilah Havel
Vienna is strengthening its attacking options for the upcoming season with the addition of Lilah Havel. The 18-year-old striker joins Austria’s oldest football club from city rivals Austria Wien. Known for her eye for goal, Havel is expected to add firepower to the Blue and Yellows’ front line.
Havel began her career at Altera Porta before making the switch to Austria Wien in 2023. Last season, she mainly featured for the Young Violets, where she regularly showcased her potential. In the Future League, she impressed with 16 goals in 18 appearances – finishing second in the league’s 2024/25 scoring chart.
Now at Vienna, Havel will have the opportunity to prove herself at the highest level. The promising striker has already earned two caps with Austria’s U19 national team, though she has yet to open her scoring account at international level.
Head coach Mark Dobrounig is pleased with the signing: “We’ve been watching Lilah closely over the past weeks and months. She’s an exceptional talent, and we want to support her transition into senior football. She represents exactly the kind of player we want to develop – young, ambitious, and ready to take the next step. Our philosophy is to prepare young players for the challenges ahead and give them a platform to gain experience in the Bundesliga. Lilah’s transfer is a strong reflection of that approach.”
