Vienna aiming to get back on track against Lustenau
In the 5th round of the ADMIRAL 2nd League, another top match awaits Vienna: On Friday, Austria Lustenau visits the Naturarena Hohe Warte. Kick-off is at 6:00 p.m. Immediately afterwards (8:30 p.m.), our women’s team will face SK Sturm Graz – a double feature for all fans. Vienna wants success before the break
After being knocked out of the Cup by Amstetten, the Döbling side now faces another title contender in the league. The team coached by Gitsov/Sütcü wants to finish strong before the international break.
In the ADMIRAL 2nd League, Vienna has collected seven points from four matches. After opening wins against Stripfing and Austria Salzburg, they suffered a 1–2 defeat in St. Pölten and drew 0–0 against Liefering. A positive sign: Vienna kept a clean sheet in three of their four league games.
Coach Sütcü ahead of the clash with Lustenau:
"The Cup match showed us that we’re not yet where we want to be. That makes it even more important to react on Friday and round off the start of the season with a positive result."

Lustenau has also collected seven points so far and sits level with Vienna, three points behind leaders St. Pölten. After two opening victories against Liefering (4–0) and Wels (1–0), they suffered a defeat to Kapfenberg and drew 3–3 with Stripfing. In the Cup, Lustenau also bowed out on Tuesday, losing 0–2 to Kapfenberg.
