Top-of-the-table clash in the Wiener Stadtliga
In the fourth round of the Wiener Stadtliga, the Vienna Amateurs face 1980 Wien away from home. First versus third – this promises plenty of excitement. The match will take place on Saturday, September 6, at 16:00 at the Franz Koci-Sportanlage.
So far, our Amateurs have had a flawless season in the Wiener Stadtliga. After the first three matches, the record stands at three wins from three. Just last weekend, they celebrated an impressive 6-1 home victory against Gerasdorf Stammersdorf, with goals from Valtchev, Ellen, Pistrol, Birkhahn, Staudinger, and Zeidler. As a result, our team sits at the top of the table.
One of Vienna’s direct pursuers is our upcoming opponent. 1980 Wien have collected seven points from their opening matches and currently occupy third place. With ten goals scored, they boast the second-best attack in the league, just behind Vienna. In their most recent match, 1980 Wien defeated Red Star Penzing 3-1.
