Next Home Win Against Kleinmünchen
This Sunday at the Hohe Warte, Vienna will face Union Kleinmünchen/BW Linz. Against the bottom team of the table, the Döbling side wants to confirm their form and secure the next home victory. Kick-off is at 1:30 p.m.
After the win over RB Salzburg (2–0) and the draw against USV Neulengbach (1–1), Vienna’s women have climbed up to fifth place. The gap to fourth-placed SCR Altach is only four points. Next week, Vienna will travel to Vorarlberg for a direct clash with Altach. Before that, however, they host Union Kleinmünchen/BW Linz at home.
Head coach Mark Dobrounig on the match:
“Against Union Kleinmünchen/BW Linz, we want to keep all three points at the Hohe Warte. We will need to control the different phases of the game. We must be determined, shift the momentum to our side, and push for the win. We need to stay focused, trust our strengths, and bring the necessary energy onto the pitch.”
For Kleinmünchen, the start of the season has been far from ideal. In the first six rounds, they have yet to collect a single point and are still waiting for their first goal of the season. In the last round, the Upper Austrians lost 0–2 to SKN St. Pölten.
Looking ahead
As already mentioned, Vienna will face SCR Altach next week — an important match to stay in touch with the top spots in the table. After the game in Altach, Vienna will play LASK at home before facing St. Pölten again the following week.
