Sunday Matinee in Kapfenberg

In this week’s Sunday matinee, Vienna will face KSV 1919 away from home. After some difficult weeks, coach Hans Kleer’s team wants to finally get back on track against the “Falken.” Early risers will be rewarded: kick-off is already at 10:30 a.m.

Back on the road to success

The past weeks have been a major challenge for Vienna. The team has been waiting for its next full success for quite some time. In the last round, they suffered a 0–2 home defeat against Austria Klagenfurt. While the Döblingers managed to keep the Carinthians away from their goal for long stretches, two set pieces decided the game in favor of the visitors. Vienna is currently in ninth place in the table. With a win against Kapfenberg, however, they could draw level on points and reestablish contact with the top spots.

Visiting SV Kapfenberg

SV Kapfenberg currently sits in fifth place, in the upper half of the table. After two defeats at the start of the season, the Styrians celebrated four league victories in a row and also made a statement in the cup with a win over Austria Lustenau. Most recently, however, the “Falken” had to endure a setback: a clear 0–3 defeat against SKU Amstetten.

Ticket sales for upcoming home matches

After the match against Kapfenberg, Vienna will face El Danubio. Advance sales for the 2nd league Vienna derby have already begun. Tickets for the top clash against Admira are also available.
