Away Match Leads to Gleisdorf

The ball is finally rolling again in the Admiral 2nd League! After the international break, which our team used for intensive training sessions, the next championship match is coming up this Saturday. At 8:00 p.m., Vienna will face SK Sturm Graz II at the Gleisdorf Stadium.

The second team of the Graz side is currently in 14th place in the standings — and thus in the relegation zone. However, in the last round, the young “Blackies” celebrated an important victory: against bottom club Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz, they achieved their first win of the season — a small but vital breakthrough. Sturm Graz II now sit on five points.

Vienna Searching for Form
For Vienna, the current season has been a mixed one so far. After a convincing 3–0 away win in Kapfenberg, the team suffered a setback in the derby against FAC — the Blue and Yellows were defeated 0–2. Particularly bitter: David Ungar suffered a fibula fracture in that match and will be sidelined for the time being.

Back to the Top with a Winning Streak
Despite currently sitting in 8th place, everything is still possible in this tightly contested league. The gap to second place is just five points, with only league leaders St. Pölten having opened up a bit of a lead with eight points. With a short winning streak, Vienna could quickly climb back toward the top positions.
