Tough Challenge Against SKN St. Pölten
A difficult task awaits our team in the Admiral Women’s Bundesliga. In Round 10, the Vienna women will face SKN St. Pölten. Kick-off is on Sunday, October 19, at 12:45 p.m.
The first phase of the regular season is now complete — time to take stock. Vienna has not yet managed to put its stamp on the current campaign. There have been some noteworthy successes, such as the 8–3 victory over Südburgenland, but in several matches, the team from Döbling has simply lacked that bit of luck. As a result, they currently sit in seventh place in the standings.
Now, St. Pölten — the very team that kicked off Vienna’s 2025/26 season — awaits once again. In the opening match, Vienna lost 0–3 away from home. However, SKN St. Pölten, too, have yet to display the dominance we’ve come to expect from them in recent years. The reigning champions have already dropped points against Austria and SCR Altach and currently sit “only” in second place.
Vienna lost its most recent league match 0–2 to LASK. The visitors impressed with clinical finishing, while Vienna struggled to find its rhythm. The good news: striker Patricia Pfanner is available again for the match against St. Pölten, returning after her suspension.
