Vienna Hosts Admira for the Top Match
The 11th round of the ADMIRAL 2nd League promises plenty of excitement. This coming Friday at 18:00, the eagerly awaited clash between Vienna and Admira will take place.
The match against Admira promises a lot of tension. Both teams started the new season with the same goal: winning the championship. After ten rounds, Vienna and Admira are separated by five points.
Boosted by an Away Victory
Vienna celebrated a 2–0 away win over Sturm Graz II in the previous round. Thanks to goals from Zimmermann and Schmidt, Vienna was able to take the important three points home from Styria. With this victory, the team from Döbling has reconnected with the chasing pack in the standings. They are currently just two points behind third-placed SKU Amstetten.
Admira as the First Challenger
Admira is currently second in the table with 20 points. However, the team from the Südstadt is already eight points behind league leaders and rivals SKN St. Pölten. Remarkably, coach Thomas Silberberger’s team is still unbeaten this season: 5 wins and 5 draws. In the last round, Admira celebrated a convincing 4–0 win over Austria Salzburg.
Looking Back at Recent Meetings
The statistics also suggest a balanced match. Since Vienna's return to the 2nd League, the team from Döbling has won three of six matches against Admira. Admira, however, won the last two encounters, with one match ending in a draw. On Friday, Vienna hopes to add another blue-and-yellow victory to the record.

This home match also takes place under the motto of the Fair Play Action Weeks. First Vienna FC 1894 is taking a strong stand against violence, hatred, and discrimination, and has been supporting the Fair Play initiative for several years.
