Vienna Amateurs Aim to Get Back on the Winning Track Against Wienerberg
In the Vienna City League, the matches are coming thick and fast for our amateur team. This coming Saturday, SV Wienerberg awaits as the next challenging opponent. Kick-off is at 16:00 at the Vienna Campus by IMMOunited.
In-Form Wienerberg Visiting
SV Wienerberg has been unbeaten in ten competitive matches, with their last defeat coming in the second round against SV Schwechat. In the previous round, Wienerberg earned a 2–0 victory over Red Star Penzing. In the Vienna Cup, they advanced to the third round with a spectacular 10–1 win against Inzersdorf.
After an impressive start to the season, the Vienna Amateurs have recently suffered two defeats. In the eighth round, they fell narrowly 1–2 to LAC-Inter, and in the following week, they also lost the match against SV Dinamo Helfort. The scheduled match for the last round against FC Mauerwerk was postponed.
Tight Race at the Top
With one game fewer played, the gap for the Vienna Amateurs to the top positions has widened slightly. However, the current season is showing a very tight race at the top of the table. Despite having one game in hand, the blue and yellows are only six points behind the league leaders. SV Wienerberg currently sits in second place with 23 points. The table situation promises an exciting football match.
