Vienna Amateurs face WAF
In the 13th round of the Vienna City League, the Vienna Amateurs will face WAF Brigittenau. The match will take place next Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Vienna Campus.
WAF currently sits comfortably in mid-table. With 14 points, they occupy ninth place. After three consecutive defeats, WAF managed to return to winning ways in the last round: Andreas Schneider’s team beat Red Star Penzing 2–1.
The Vienna Amateurs also secured a victory in their last match. After a somewhat difficult spell, the Blue and Yellows narrowly defeated the FAC Amateurs 1–0 last weekend. The decisive goal was scored by Michael Valtchev from the penalty spot.
With the win over the FAC Amateurs, Vienna were able to consolidate their position in the upper quarter of the table. The Blue and Yellows currently sit in fourth place, keeping close to the top of the standings. They are three points behind 1980 Wien and only four points off the top two teams.
