Traditional Clash in the ÖFB Women’s Cup
In the second round of the ÖFB Women’s Cup, Vienna will visit USC Landhaus. The match between the two traditional teams will take place on Sunday, 16 November at 14:00.
After several intense weeks in the league, Vienna will once again switch things up with a cup match. In the second round, they will face USC Landhaus.
In the first round, Vienna played against FCM Traiskirchen. The team from Döbling lived up to their role as favorites, securing a solid 3–0 victory and thus advancing to the next round.
USC Landhaus also faced a Viennese club in the first round of the cup. In their duel with SK Rapid, the team from Floridsdorf claimed a 1–0 win thanks to a goal from Jasmin Fiebiger.
In the 2nd Women’s Bundesliga, USC Landhaus currently sits mid-table. Their 15 points are enough for sixth place. Vienna is also mid-table in the Women’s Bundesliga, currently ranked seventh.
“In the cup match against USC Landhaus, we want to deliver a convincing performance and advance to the next round. It will be important for us to stay focused from the first minute so we don’t give our opponents any chance to get into the game. We don’t want to leave anything to chance in this match and aim to move on to the next round,” said head coach Mark Dobrounig ahead of the cup fixture.
