Weingut Salzl Seewinkelhof and First Vienna FC 1894 – A Shared Passion
First Vienna FC 1894 is delighted to officially announce its partnership with Weingut Salzl Seewinkelhof, which becomes the exclusive wine partner of the Premium VIP area. Salzl is by no means a new name at the Hohe Warte, as the Burgenland family winery’s products have already been featured in Vienna’s hospitality areas for some time.
About Weingut Salzl Seewinkelhof
Weingut Salzl Seewinkelhof is located in Illmitz, Burgenland, in the heart of the picturesque Neusiedlersee–Seewinkel wine region. The Salzl family has been cultivating vineyards there since 1840 and is today one of the most renowned and successful wineries in the area. The estate is now run by the third generation — Josef Salzl and his son Christoph. Their close family collaboration shapes the winery and combines tradition with modern winemaking.
Much like at the Hohe Warte, visitors to Weingut Salzl can expect an open and welcoming family atmosphere. Tastings are available by appointment and offer the opportunity to experience the full variety of Salzl wines directly on-site.
Wine Partner of the Premium VIP Area
Since the 2024/25 season, Weingut Salzl has been the official wine partner of the Premium VIP area in the Naturarena Hohe Warte. With a wide range of wines from the family winery, every home match in blue and yellow becomes a special culinary experience. In addition to the diverse product selection, on-site tastings provide further highlights for true wine lovers through personal and direct interaction with genuine experts.
The assortment includes white, red, and sweet wines. Whether it’s red wine (Zweigelt Reserve 2021), white wine (New Style 2023), or fruit-forward varieties (Rosé Cuvée 2024) — the current matchday wine selection offers something suitable for everyone!
