Vienna sign goalkeeper Vivien Grabenhofer
Vienna are strengthening their goalkeeping position during the winter break. With Vivien Grabenhofer, a talented goalkeeper joins the team. The 17-year-old has already gained valuable playing time in the top division and makes the move from USV Neulengbach to Vienna.
Grabenhofer has been with USV Neulengbach since 2023, where she initially collected minutes in the Future League. For her strong performances in the Future League, she was named “Goalkeeper of the Season” in the 2024/25 campaign. Since last summer, Grabenhofer has also featured regularly in the Bundesliga. In the current season, the 17-year-old has already made eight appearances in the top flight.
Grabenhofer’s performances have not gone unnoticed by the ÖFB youth departments. She has already guarded the goal several times for Austria’s youth national teams and was also part of the squad during qualification for the U19 European Championship.
“We are very happy that we were able to attract a great goalkeeping talent like Vivien to our club. She identifies with our ideas and our philosophy and is ready to take the next steps with us. This transfer is another sign of the path we have chosen—providing a platform for promising talents,” says Alexander Widhalm, Sporting Director of Vienna Women.
