Home Match Against USV Neulengbach
The ADMIRAL Frauen Bundesliga enters its 15th round. The Vienna women’s team will host USV Neulengbach at home. The match will take place on Wednesday, February 25, at the Hohe Warte. Kick-off is at 8:00 PM.
Vienna already played their first competitive match of the year last weekend. In the cup quarterfinals, the Blue-Yellows faced SK Sturm Graz. Vienna delivered a spirited performance and also tried to find creative solutions in open play. The visitors from Graz capitalized only on two set pieces and secured a 1–2 victory thanks to a goal in stoppage time.
Vienna now aims to build on their cup performance and carry the positive aspects into the upcoming league rounds. With USV Neulengbach, a direct rival in the standings awaits. The match in autumn ended 1–1, with Lara Höcherl scoring for Vienna.
“We finally want to celebrate another win against Neulengbach — something we absolutely would have deserved based on our recent performances. However, we need to be more clinical in front of goal. The team is in good shape and looking forward to the upcoming matches. Of course, we hope many fans will come to the game again and support us loudly like they did in the cup. That gives us extra energy on the pitch,” said head coach Mark Dobrounig ahead of the match.
