Vienna sign Marlon Winter
First Vienna FC are pleased to announce their first new signing for the upcoming season: Marlon Winter joins the club from ATUS Velden.
The 20-year-old left-footed defender, who can be deployed in multiple positions across the back line, is a promising addition for the future. With this signing, the Blue-Yellows once again strengthen their squad in a targeted way by adding a talented young player.
Winter has made impressive progress in recent years. Within a short period of time, the German defender rose from the 1. Klasse B to become a regular starter in the Regionalliga Mitte.
He began his footballing career at Maria Gail before moving on to Wernberg, VSV, and Ledenitzen. After a spell at Liefering, he joined the youth academy of Unterhaching, where he featured in the youth Bundesliga for the U17 and U19 teams. In 2022, he returned to Carinthia and rejoined Ledenitzen before signing with ATUS Velden in January 2024.
With Velden, Winter won the Carinthian League title and secured promotion to the Regionalliga Mitte. He quickly established himself as a regular starter there and has since been a consistent presence in the defensive line-up.
