Homecoming Complete: Livia Brunmair Returns to Vienna
Livia Brunmair is returning to Vienna. Following spells with FC Nürnberg and USV Neulengbach, the long-time Blue-and-Yellow midfielder is coming back to Hohe Warte. The 23-year-old will strengthen Vienna’s midfield from the upcoming season.
The homecoming is complete
Three and a half years after her move to FC Nürnberg, Livia Brunmair returns to the club where she made her senior debut in 2018.
A true Blue-and-Yellow stalwart, Brunmair progressed through every stage of Vienna’s youth academy. At just 14 years of age, she made her debut for the first team. From that moment on, she went on to make 87 competitive appearances for the club, scoring 21 goals along the way.
As a player, Brunmair played a key role during one of the most successful periods in the club’s recent history and was an integral member of the team that earned promotion to Austria’s top division.
Following her departure from Vienna, Brunmair made 14 appearances during the second half of the season for FC Nürnberg and helped the club secure promotion to the German Bundesliga. She went on to feature nine times in the Bundesliga, although Nürnberg were unable to avoid relegation. During the following campaign, Brunmair made 19 appearances before leaving the club last summer to join USV Neulengbach. For Neulengbach, she featured in 16 matches and scored one goal.
