Maximilian Fillafer Joins First Vienna FC
First Vienna FC has strengthened its squad with the signing of Maximilian Fillafer. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder joins from Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg and will now wear the blue-and-yellow jersey in Vienna-Döbling.
Despite his young age, Fillafer already brings valuable top-flight experience. So far, he has made 55 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga, scoring four goals. In the past season alone, he featured in 15 matches for TSV Hartberg. In addition, he celebrated his debut for the Austrian U21 national team in October last year.
Fillafer began his journey into professional football in the youth ranks of FC Bad Hofgastein before moving to the academy of SV Spittal/Drau in 2019. There, he quickly made the transition to senior football and became a regular member of the first team from 2021 onwards. As a teenager, he made 28 appearances in the Regionalliga Mitte and established himself as a key player for the Carinthian club.
In the summer of 2023, he made the move to TSV Hartberg. At just 18 years of age, he broke into the Austrian Bundesliga and made his debut later that year against SK Rapid. During his first season with the Styrian club, he made 26 competitive appearances and rapidly developed into an important member of the professional squad.
