Vienna Signs Lara Wondrejc
Squad planning for the Vienna women’s team is in full swing, and Lara Wondrejc has been confirmed as the club’s next signing for the upcoming season. The 19-year-old defender joins from USV Neulengbach and moves to Vienna-Döbling.
The latest summer addition to the Vienna women’s squad is Lara Wondrejc. She arrives from USV Neulengbach and will strengthen Vienna’s defensive line.
Wondrejc took her first steps in senior football with USC Landhaus. In her debut season with the second-division side, she made 14 appearances and scored two goals. In the summer of 2024, she earned a move to the top flight, joining USV Neulengbach.
After reaching the Bundesliga, Wondrejc missed several matches in the autumn due to injury. However, she made an immediate impact upon returning, scoring her first goal for Neulengbach in her first starting appearance and becoming an important part of the team during the second half of the season.
Last season, Wondrejc missed hardly any matches. She made 15 league appearances and scored three goals. After two seasons in the Wienerwald region, the 19-year-old will wear the Vienna jersey in the coming campaign.
“We are very pleased that we were able to convince Lara to join us and become part of our journey. Despite her young age, she already brings valuable Bundesliga experience. She will strengthen our defense, and we are convinced that she can take the next steps in her development with us,” said head coach Mark Dobrounig.
Welcome to Vienna, Lara!
