Goalkeeper Amelie Kandlhofer Joins Vienna
First Vienna FC 1894 has strengthened its squad for the upcoming season with the signing of Amelie Kandlhofer. The 20-year-old goalkeeper most recently played for USV Neulengbach and will wear the Vienna jersey starting next season.
Despite her young age, Kandlhofer has already gained valuable experience in Austria’s top division. She made her Bundesliga debut for Austria Wien in May 2022. After making seven additional Bundesliga appearances for Austria Wien, she transferred to SKN St. Pölten in 2023.
At SKN St. Pölten, Kandlhofer played for the club’s Future League team and developed into a reliable presence between the posts. After two seasons in St. Pölten, she returned to the Bundesliga last summer by joining USV Neulengbach. During the most recent season, she made eight Bundesliga appearances.
