Kelechi Nnamdi Joins Sturm Graz
Kelechi Nnamdi leaves First Vienna FC 1894 to join Austrian Bundesliga runners-up SK Sturm Graz. The entire Vienna family would like to thank Kelechi for his time at the club and wishes him every success in this exciting new chapter of his career.
Nnamdi joined Vienna in 2023 from the FC Salzburg Academy, initially featuring for the Vienna Amateurs. With a series of impressive performances, the pacey full-back quickly caught the eye and earned his opportunity at the next level.
Vienna: The First Step into Professional Football
Nnamdi made his first-team debut in September 2024 and immediately established himself as a regular in the senior squad. The 20-year-old quickly secured a place in the starting eleven and signed his first professional contract with Vienna.
In his debut season, the Vienna-born defender made 23 appearances in the ADMIRAL 2. Liga and contributed three assists. He featured another 23 times during the most recent campaign, adding two assists to his tally.
After three years at the Hohe Warte, Nnamdi now takes the next step in his career by moving to the Austrian Bundesliga with Sturm Graz. The transfer to last season's runners-up marks a significant milestone for the young defender and is another strong testament to Vienna's player development pathway.
We would like to thank Kelechi for three successful years together and for his tireless commitment to the club. Everyone at First Vienna FC 1894 wishes him all the very best, both on and off the pitch, in the next stage of his journey.
