Season Opener Against Newly Promoted Rapid at Hohe Warte
The new ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga season gets underway with a blockbuster fixture for First Vienna FC. On Sunday, 2 August, Vienna will host newly promoted SK Rapid at Hohe Warte Stadium, with kick-off at 3:00 pm.
Due to the expected high demand, tickets for this special occasion are available in advance through our online ticket shop. Season tickets are also valid for all women's home matches. Tickets will also be available at the stadium on matchday, but supporters are encouraged to purchase in advance to secure their place.
A Historic First at Hohe Warte
The opening fixture brings together two clubs with very different histories in women's football.
Rapid's women's team is a relatively new project. Founded only a few years ago, the club has enjoyed a remarkable rise through the Austrian football pyramid to reach the top flight. The Green-and-Whites will now celebrate their first-ever season in the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga—beginning with a visit to Hohe Warte.
For Mario Graf, Sporting Director of First Vienna FC Women, it is a special way to begin the campaign:

Pioneers of Austrian Women's Football
First Vienna FC has a proud and longstanding tradition in women's football. Back in the late 1980s, the club became the first Austrian Bundesliga club to establish a women's section, making Vienna one of the pioneers of women's football in Austria.
When the two sides meet on 2 August, two very different stories of Viennese women's football will come together at Hohe Warte: First Vienna FC, with its rich tradition, and Rapid, embarking on its first-ever season in Austria's top division after a rapid rise through the leagues.
Graf added: "Rapid has earned promotion through years of hard work and will start the season full of confidence and enthusiasm. At the same time, we know the strengths of our own team. It's wonderful to see women's football continuing to grow, and we want to play our part by getting the new season off to a successful start."
