Denise Lueger Moves to Germany
Denise Lueger leaves Vienna after one season and joins German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim. Her move once again underlines Vienna’s role as a stepping stone for talented young players.
The 17-year-old striker only joined the club at Hohe Warte last summer. During the past season, she made 23 competitive appearances, scoring seven goals. With consistently strong performances, Lueger attracted attention and earned herself the opportunity to take the next step in her career. From the upcoming season onwards, she will wear the TSG Hoffenheim shirt.
Vienna is proud to have accompanied Denise Lueger on her journey towards international top-level football. Her move to the German Bundesliga not only highlights her sporting development, but also confirms the club’s successful youth development programme and Vienna’s role as a stepping stone for young players in Austrian women’s football.
