Valentina Pötzl Leaves Vienna
After just one season, Valentina Pötzl is leaving First Vienna FC 1894. The 17-year-old midfielder is making a move within the ADMIRAL Frauen Bundesliga, joining the reigning champions in Favoriten.
Pötzl joined Vienna last summer despite suffering a serious knee injury and worked consistently on her comeback at Hohe Warte. She finally made her competitive debut for the Blues and Yellows in the spring and went on to make seven appearances.
By joining the reigning champions, Pötzl is now taking the next step in her career. For Vienna, her transfer is another example of the club’s commitment to developing young talent and giving players the opportunity to grow at the highest level. At Hohe Warte, young players are given the trust and playing time they need to gain valuable experience and put themselves forward for the next step in their careers.
With Denise Lueger moving to the German Bundesliga and Valentina Pötzl joining the Austrian champions, Vienna once again underlines its role as a stepping stone for talented young players in Austrian women’s football.
First Vienna FC 1894 would like to thank “Vali” for her commitment and dedication and wishes her all the very best and every success in her sporting career and personal life.
