Vienna Amateurs win 4–1 away at Gerasdorf
The Vienna Amateurs secured a convincing away victory on Friday. In the eighth round of the Wiener Stadtliga, Amir Bradaric’s side beat SV Gerasdorf Stammersdorf 4–1. Poyraz Özmeral and substitute Kerim Krpujevic each scored twice.
The Blue-and-Yellows made a perfect start. In the eighth minute, Poyraz Özmeral put Vienna ahead at 1–0. The visitors held on to their lead until half-time, going into the break with a narrow advantage.
Özmeral adds another as Gerasdorf pull one back
Özmeral made his mark again shortly after the restart. In the 53rd minute, he scored his second goal of the match to make it 2–0. The hosts responded quickly, however, with Edvin Ramic pulling one back just four minutes later to make it 2–1 and bring the game back to life.
In the 62nd minute, Bradaric introduced fresh legs. Among the changes, Kerim Krpujevic came on for two-goal scorer Özmeral — a substitution that would soon pay dividends.
Krpujevic seals the victory
Just six minutes after coming on, Krpujevic restored Vienna’s two-goal cushion with a goal to make it 3–1. He struck again in the 79th minute, scoring his second of the match to seal the 4–1 victory.
The Vienna Amateurs therefore returned from Gerasdorf with all three points. Two braces and an immediately effective substitution proved decisive in a successful away performance for Amir Bradaric’s side.
Head coach Amir Bradaric: “That was a deserved win today, and also a first for us. In our seventh match, we took the lead for the first time. After going 2–0 up, we were briefly unsettled by their goal to make it 2–1. However, the triple substitution brought fresh energy into the game, and in the end we deserved to win 4–1. Credit to the team — that was a good performance today.”
