Vienna Women travel to face SK Rapid
Following the international break, the ADMIRAL Women’s Bundesliga returns to action. In the upcoming round, Vienna will face SK Rapid away from home. Kick-off is at 17:00 on Saturday, 17 October, at the Weststadion’s adjacent pitch.
The Blues and Yellows have endured a difficult few weeks. Most recently, they suffered four consecutive league defeats, dropping to seventh place in the table. The team used the international break to work on their patterns of play and prepare for the challenges ahead. In a friendly against second-division side Traiskirchen, Vienna showed their attacking prowess, recording a convincing 5–0 victory.
SK Rapid have also suffered setbacks recently. Before the international break, they were beaten 6–0 by Austria. They had already come away empty-handed from their matches against FC Salzburg and Sturm Graz. Rapid currently sit eighth in the table, one point behind Vienna.
The first meeting between the sides this season, in August, ended in a 3–3 draw. Both teams will now be looking to collect valuable points in this head-to-head clash and improve their positions in the standings.
